Mermaid Tutorial

This tut was made using PSP9

Any similarity to any other tutorial is purely coincidental.

Supplies Needed:

Tube of choice. I used one by Ismael Rac. 

You need a license to use this tube. You can get his tubes at XeracX.

PTU Kit Simple Elegance by Creative Scraps by Crys.

You can purchase this kit at Mystical Scraps.

Mask of choice, I used 162InsatiableDreams by Insatiable Dreams.

Font of choice, I used Sugarfish font.

Plugins:

Xero - Porcelain

When you see ** look at tag for placement of Elements. Sometimes it is hard to say just how to place them.

Drop Shadows added are 2.2.80.5 unless otherwise stated. You do not have to add a drop shadow it is just for added effect.

***DON'T FORGET TO SAVE OFTEN***

New image 650x650 Transparency. We can crop and make the tag smaller at the end.

Open Frame 5 copy and close. Paste as a new layer.

Image resize 75% Bicubic (make sure resize all layers is unchecked).

Open tube, copy and close. Paste as a new layer.

Effects, Plugins, Xero - Porcelain: See settings below

Open Paper 1 copy and close. Paste as a new layer.

Image resize 75% Bicubic (make sure resize all layers is unchecked).

Move this layer below your frame layer. Make sure the part of the paper you want to see is within the frame.**

Take your Eraser Tool and erase any part of the paper sticking outside your frame.

Open Element 73 copy and close. Paste as a new layer and move under the Frame layer.

Image resize 60% Bicubic (make sure resize all layers is unchecked).

Take your Eraser Tool and erase any part of the sand that is outside the frame.**

Open Element 61 copy and close. Paste as a new layer.

Image resize 50% Bicubic (make sure resize all layers is unchecked).

Move this layer below your frame layer. Image, Mirror and place on the bottom left hand side within your frame.**

Open Element 41 copy and close. Paste as a new layer.

Image resize 50% Bicubic (make sure resize all layers is unchecked).

Move this layer below your sunken treasure layer.**

Open Element 25 copy and close. Paste as a new layer.

Image resize 60% Bicubic (make sure resize all layers is unchecked).

Move this layer below your sunken treasure layer.**

Open Element 65 copy and close. Paste as a new layer.

Image resize 70% Bicubic (make sure resize all layers is unchecked).

Move this layer just above your paper layer.** 

Take your Eraser Tool and erase any bubbles sticking out from the frame.

Open Element 63 copy and close. Paste as a new layer.

Image resize 30% Bicubic (make sure resize all layers is unchecked).

Move this layer below your frame layer.**

Effects, Plugins, Xero - Porcelain: Use the same settings you used on your mermaid

Open Paper 4 copy and close.

Add a new Raster Layer.

Selections, Select All, Paste paper into selection, Select None.

Move paper layer down below the original frame layer.

Layers, New Mask Layer, choose 162InsatiableDreams  from the list click ok and Merge Group.

Image resize 87% Bicubic (make sure resize all layers is unchecked).

At this time you can crop and make your tag smaller.

Add your copyright information and text.

Save.
