Kisses Old School Tut

This tut was made using PSP9

Supplies Needed:

Tube of choice. I used one by Lynn Chua. 

You need a license to use this tube. You can purchase this tube at Artistically Inclined Licensing.

Font of choice, I used Bajareczka Font.

Plugins needed:

Xenofex - Constellation

DSB Flux - Linear Transmission

Eye Candy 4000 - Gradient Glow

***DON'T FORGET TO SAVE OFTEN***

New image 600x250 Transparency.

Click on your Materials Palette. Gradient and Edit - Settings as pictured below:

I have picked 3 colors to work with: Black, White and #de4469 (which is a color from the tube I am working with)

Hit close then yes.

Angle 130, Repeat 1, Linear Gradient.

Click on your Flood Fill tool and fill your layer.

Adjust, Blur, Radial Blur - Settings as pictured below:

Effects, Plugins, DSB Flux - Linear Transmission. Settings as pictured below:

Open tube, copy and paste as a new layer.

Image Resize 60% Bicubic - make sure resize all layers is unchecked.

Look at my tag for reference on where to place your tube.

Copy and paste the heart layer that comes with the tube.

Look at my tag for reference on where to place the hearts.

Add a drop shadow of your choice to your tube and the hearts.

Take your Crop Tool and crop to the size of your tag.

Click on your background layer.

Effects, Plugins, Xenofex 2 - Constellation.

Add whatever amount of bling you would like to your background layer.

Merge all layers visible.

Layers, New Raster Layer.

Take your Flood Fill tool and flood this layer with a color from your tube. I chose: #d32f56

Selections, Select All, Modify, Contract 5.

Hit delete on your keyboard.

Sections, Select None.

Adjust, Add Noise, Uniform 20% Monochrome.

Effects, Plugins, EyeCandy 4000 - Gradient Glow. See settings below:

Add your copyright information and text.

Save.

Santa Tutorial

Tube of choice. I used one by Robin Pushay. 

You need a license to use this tube. You can purchase this tube at Artistic Dreams Imaging.

FTU kit Holly Jolly Christmas by Randy's Sin.

Mask of choice, I used Vix_Mask4Christmas2010 by VixPSP.

Font of choice, I used Christmas Flakes Font.

When you see ** look at tag for placement of Elements. Sometimes it is hard to say just how to place them.

Drop Shadows added are 2.2.80.5 unless otherwise stated. You do not have to add a drop shadow it is just for added effect.

New image 650x650 Transparency. We can crop and make the tag smaller at the end.

Open rs-fence copy and close. Paste as a new layer.

Image resize 85% Bicubic (make sure resize all layers is unchecked).**

Open tube, copy and close. Paste as a new layer.

Image resize 85% Bicubic (make sure resize all layers is unchecked).**

Open rs-nothpole copy and close. Paste as a new layer.

Image resize 40% Bicubic (make sure resize all layers is unchecked).**

Take your Soften Brush (See settings below) and run the brush over the bottom of the pole to blend it in with the snow.

Open rs-holl1 copy and close. Paste as a new layer.

Image resize 15% Bicubic (make sure resize all layers is unchecked).**

Duplicate, Image, Mirror. Merge down. Move this merged layer below your northpole layer.

Open Paper 11 copy and close.

Add a new Raster Layer.

Selections, Select All, Paste paper into selection, Select None.

Move paper layer down below the original frame layer.

Layers, New Mask Layer, choose Vix_Mask4Christmas2010 from the list click ok and Merge Group.

At this time you can crop and make your tag smaller.

Add your copyright information and text.

Save.

Simple Elegance Tutorial

Supplies Needed:

Tube of choice. I used one by Enys Guerrero. 

You need a license to use this tube. You can get more tubes at Creative Design Outlet.

PTU Kit Simple Elegance by Freek's Creations.

You can purchase this kit at Mystical Scraps.

Mask of choice, I used WSL_Mask33 by Weescotslass Creations.

Font of choice, I used Enchanted Prairie Dog font.

Plugins:

Xero - Porcelain

Open Frame 2 copy and close. Paste as a new layer.

Image resize 15% Bicubic (make sure resize all layers is unchecked).

Open tube, copy and close. Paste as a new layer.

Go to your frame layer duplicate and move above your tube layer.

Click on your Eraser Tool and erase parts of the duplicate frame that you don't want covering your tube. 

Click on your tube layer and erase the excess tube outside of the frame. (Look above at my tag for a reference).

Effects, Plugins, Xero - Porcelain: See settings below

On the tube layer add a drop shadow.

Click on your bottom frame layer and add a drop shadow.

Open Paper 12 copy and close. Paste as a new layer.

Move this layer below your original frame layer. Make sure the part of the paper you want to see is within the frame.**

Click on your Frame layer. Take your Magic Wand (Feather and Tolerance 0) and click inside your frame.

Selections, Modify, Expand by 10.

Selections, Invert now click on your Paper layer. Hit delete on your keyboard. Selections, None.

Open Star Dangle copy and close. Paste as a new layer and move under the original Frame layer.

Image resize 10% Bicubic (make sure resize all layers is unchecked).

Place these stars to the left hand side of the frame.**

Duplicate and move the duplicated stars to the right hand side of the frame,**

Take your Eraser Tool and erase any part of the stars that are outside the frame.

Open Rose copy and close. Paste as a new layer.

Image resize 10% Bicubic (make sure resize all layers is unchecked).**

Open Leaf 2 copy and close. Paste as a new layer.

Image resize 13% Bicubic (make sure resize all layers is unchecked).**

Duplicate then Image, Rotate to the Right 35 degrees.

Merge this layer down with the original Leaf layer. Move this layer below the Rose layer.**

Take your Eraser Tool and erase part of the stem of the leaves that is sticking out that you don't want to see.

Open Paper 10 copy and close.

Add a new Raster Layer.

Selections, Select All, Paste paper into selection, Select None.

Move paper layer down below the original frame layer.

Layers, New Mask Layer, choose WSL_Mask33  from the list click ok and Merge Group.

Image resize 90% Bicubic (make sure resize all layers is unchecked).

Open Swirl copy and close. Paste as a new layer.

Image resize 55% Bicubic (make sure resize all layers is unchecked).

Move this layer to just above your Mask layer.**

At this time you can crop and make your tag smaller.

Add your copyright information and text.

Save.

Asian Fairy Old School Tutorial

Supplies Needed:

Tube of choice. I used one by Heidi Drake. 

You need a license to use this tube. You can purchase this tube at Artistically Inclined Licensing.

Mask of choice, I used WSL_Mask106 from Weescotslass Creations.

Font of choice, I used Fable Smooth (PTU  Font).

New image 650x650 Transparency. We can crop and make the tag smaller at the end.

Pick a dark color from your tube. I chose #2a2d3d

Click on your Eclipse Tool width 8 Foreground #2a2d3d and background transparent.

Draw a medium to large sized circle.

Objects, Align, Center in Canvas. Convert to Raster.

Open tube copy and paste as a new layer.

Effects, Plugins, Mura Meister - Copies. Settings as pictured below:

Adjust, Blur, Motion Blur: Angle 45 and Strength 40.

Effects, Plugins, Mehdi - Weaver. Settings as pictured below:

Effects, Edge Effects, Enhance More.

Move this layer below your circle frame layer.

Take your Magic Wand: Feather and Tolerance 0 click inside your circle.

Selections, Modify, Expand 5.

Selections, Invert. Click on your background layer and hit the delete key on your keyboard.

Sections, None.

Go back to your frame layer. Effects, 3D Effects - Inner Bevel: Settings as pictured below

Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000- Gradient Glow. Glow Width 5 Color White.

Open your tube copy and paste as a new layer. Look at my tag above for placement.

Effects, Plugins, Xero - Porcelain. Settings as pictured below:

Add a drop shadow of your choice.

Open the word art copy and paste as a new layer. Look at my tag above for placement.

Move this layer below your tube layer.

Add a new Raster Layer. Move this layer below your background layer.

Pick a color from your tube and make it the foreground color. I chose: #6e5b40

Flood Fill this layer with your Flood Fill Tool.

Layers, New Mask Layer, choose WSL_Mask106 from the list click ok and Merge Group.

Click on your background layer.

Effects, Plugins, Xenofex - Constellation. Settings as pictured below:

At this time you can crop and make your tag smaller.

Add your copyright information and text.

Save.

Take your Eraser Tool and erase any part of the scene that is outside the frame.**

Open pd-moon copy and close. Paste as a new layer.

Image resize 20% Bicubic (make sure resize all layers is unchecked).

Open pd-pumpkin copy and close. Paste as a new layer.

Image resize 20% Bicubic (make sure resize all layers is unchecked).

Duplicate the pumpkin layer and resize by 90%.

Merge the pumpkin layers together and move this layer just above your scene layer.**

Layers, New Raster Layer. Move this layer below your Moon layer.

Click on your Magic Wand Tool. Go to your frame layer and click inside the frame.

Selections, Modify, Expand 20

Go to your new raster layer.

Effects, Plugins, Mura's Meister - Clouds : see settings below

Take your Eraser Tool and erase any of the cloud background which is outside your frame.

Effects, Plugins, Xenofex - Constellation: see settings below

Open pd-pp12 copy and close.

Add a new Raster Layer.

Selections, Select All, Paste paper into selection, Select None.

Move paper layer down below all the layers.

Layers, New Mask Layer, choose Vix_Mask404 from the list click ok and Merge Group.

Image resize 90% Bicubic (make sure resize all layers is unchecked).

At this time you can crop and make your tag smaller.

Font of choice, I used Hawaii Killer font.

When you see ** look at tag for placement of Elements. Sometimes it is hard to say just how to place them.

Drop Shadows added are 2.2.80.5 unless otherwise stated. You do not have to add a drop shadow it is just for added effect.

***DON'T FORGET TO SAVE OFTEN***

New image 650x650 Transparency. We can crop and make the tag smaller at the end.

Open Element 40 copy and close. Paste as a new layer.

Open tube, copy and close. Paste as a new layer.

Image resize 90% Bicubic (make sure resize all layers is unchecked).

Go to your frame layer (Element 40) duplicate and move above your tube layer.

Click on your eraser tool and erase parts of the duplicate frame that you don't want covering your tube. 

Click on your tube layer and erase the excess tube outside of the frame. (Look above at my tag for a reference).

Take your Soften Brush with settings as shown below and run your brush along the bottom of the tube layer till you like the results.

On the tube layer add a drop shadow.

Click on your bottom frame layer and add a drop shadow.

Open Element 32 copy and close. Paste as a new layer.

Image resize 50% Bicubic (make sure resize all layers is unchecked).

Move this layer above your duplicated frame layer. **

Open Element 30 copy and close. Paste as a new layer.

Image resize 35% Bicubic (make sure resize all layers is unchecked).**

Open Element 9 copy and close. Paste as a new layer.

Image resize 40% Bicubic (make sure resize all layers is unchecked).

Image, Rotate, Free Rotate - Left 40 Degrees.**

Open Element 9 copy and close. Paste as a new layer.

Move this layer below the original frame layer.**

Open Paper 11 copy and close.

Add a new Raster Layer.

Selections, Select All, Paste paper into selection, Select None.

Move paper layer down below the original frame layer.

Layers, New Mask Layer, choose Vix_Mask232  from the list click ok and Merge Group.

Image resize 85% Bicubic (make sure resize all layers is unchecked)

Layers, New Raster Layer. Move this layer below the Mask layer.

Flood fill with the color white. Apply Vix_Mask232 and resize by 85%.

Open Element 42 copy and close. Paste as a new layer.

Move this layer to just above the first mask layer.**

At this time you can crop and make your tag smaller.

Add your copyright information and text.

Save.
